This local coffee shop from Batangas City uses empty milk cartons as a cup holder in a bid to reduce its plastic use.

“Since we opened our store last January 2020, we have always been innovating and utilizing our resources in the store. We saw that there is an opportunity in our milk box. From waste, we turned it into takeaway trays. It is a win-win move for both our coffee shop and the environment,” Owner Cukai Ladia told The Philippine STAR.

But their initiative to help the environment doesn’t stop there.

They also give away used coffee grounds for free to their plantito and plantita customers who would then use them as fertilizers for plants.

Ladia added that they want to serve the community while trying to lessen their environmental footprint.
