Fowl pox in layers:
This is a viral that is characterised by scabs around the head on the comb, eyelids and wattle (dry pox) and diphtheritic yellowish lesions in the mouth(wet pox)
Mainly transmitted by mosquitoes.
Treatment:
1.Administer tetracycline antibiotics for three days to the infected birds to help keep secondary infections.
2.Add vitamin supplements to their drinking water to boost their immunity.
3.Dilute iodine solution in water and use it to clean the scabs.
