We open this store in the backyard of an old ancestral house Casa Jaringa This ancestral house was build by Manuel Jaringa a farmer and a Katipunero during Spanish colonialism. Married to Valentina Jaringa. Family gatherings often happened on this house and a regular afternoon coffee breaks. They have grown local kapeng barako at their backyard and use it for personal consumption. Roast and grind manually using lusong an old instrument use to grind coffee. The house was inherited to Angeles Jaringa the youngest maiden daughter. Then bought by Capt Jose L. Catapang Jr. Master Mariner, a Freemason, cycling enthusiast and antique collector. Son of Jose Jaringa Catapang and Nenita Loreno Catapang and the Great grandson of Manuel and Valentina. He’s enthusiasm to old and historic things decided him to preserved and made some renovation to keep the family heritage.
