yesterday, i kept praying to the lord for just one thing — that even if only one whole family came to 459 cafe, i would already be grateful. it’s been a rainy season, and business has been really slow. people haven’t been going out as much, and there were moments when i wondered if anyone would still walk through our doors.
then, just a few hours before we closed, the aguinaldo family came. 🤍
and honestly, i almost cried.
because sometimes, god answers our prayers in the simplest and most unexpected ways. it wasn’t just about having customers that night. for me, it was a gentle reminder from the lord saying, “anak, ako ang bahala sa’yo.”
it reminded me that every prayer is heard, every hope is seen, and every tear, worry, and sacrifice is never wasted. there are days when i feel tired, uncertain, and afraid of what tomorrow will bring — but moments like this remind me of how great our god is.
god really knows when we need a little reminder that he is still working. he may not always answer immediately, and sometimes his answer comes in ways we least expect, but he always knows exactly what our hearts need.
yesterday, i prayed for a family.
and god sent me one.
thank you so much, aguinaldo family, for choosing 459 cafe, for spending your evening with us, and for unknowingly becoming part of a moment that meant so much to me.
459 cafe is more than just a business. it is something i prayed for, worked hard for, cried over, and continue to entrust to god every single day.
and yesterday, he reminded me once again:
“keep showing up. i’ve got you.”
every promise. every prayer. every hope. every blessing.
grabe, lord. you are truly amazing.
