Many visitors assume Samal is just one big island—but Talicud Island sits directly behind it!

The Name Origin: "Talicud" comes from the Cebuano word likod ("back" or "behind"), referring to its position relative to the main Samal island.

Why Visit:
It offers clearer waters and richer coral reefs than the main island because it sits further out in open water.

Key Spots:
Dayang, Babu Santa and Isla Reta (famous for white sand under Talisay trees) and Coral Garden (a protected marine sanctuary for diving and snorkeling).

How to Reach It:
Ride a direct boat from Sta. Ana Wharf in Davao City, or take a short 15-minute crossing from Kaputian Wharf on Samal.

GENERAL MONCADO White House

Built in the late 1930s in Barangay Limao, Samal Island, the General Moncado White House served as the headquarters and home of Hilario Camino Moncado, founder of the Filipino Crusaders World Army (FCWA).

His followers, known as Moncadistas, established a community on the island characterized by strict spiritual practices, long hair and beards for men, and a raw vegetarian diet. Today, the white mansion remains a historic landmark overlooking the Davao Gulf.

🍳 Key Qualifications:

Filipino Cuisine Expert: Must know how to cook classic Filipino dishes (like Adobo, Sinigang, Kare-Kare, Caldereta, and local favorites).

Kitchen Ready: Clean, fast, with basic knife skills, food prep knowledge, and a strong understanding of food safety.

Team Player: Ability to work smoothly and efficiently with our head chef during busy hours.
