Sweety Bites began its journey in 2020β2021 as a small home-based business managed and handmade by the eldest daughter, who was then a college student. What started as a simple passion project soon became a source of inspiration and opportunity for the family.
In 2022β2023, the business was continued by the youngest daughter, then a junior high school student, with pupils and students becoming its primary customers. Despite balancing studies and business responsibilities, the family remained committed to producing quality and affordable sweet treats for the community.
A major turning point came in 2024 when Sweety Bites became officially registered under the ownership of Mrs. Judy Ann Cafirma Cabusao, a dedicated teacher and supportive mother. This milestone opened doors to wider opportunities, allowing the enterprise to expand its market reach across the region. From mainly serving students, Sweety Bites began catering to schools, office employees, senior citizens, and the local community, including neighboring municipalities.
During this period, the business also started participating in Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-organized trade fairs, further increasing its visibility and strengthening its market presence.
By 2025, Sweety Bites had grown into a business that catered to customers of all ages. The enterprise continuously improved and innovated after becoming a mentee of the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program, where it focused on business growth, operational improvement, and product development.
In addition, Sweety Bites gained support from Agusan del Sur State University as a beneficiary of DOST programs on shelf life enhancement and NutriFacts labeling. The business also underwent food assessment and evaluation with formal written reports to ensure product quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Driven by flavor and defined by excellence, Sweety Bites stands as a testament to how a simple home-based initiative powered by dedication, family support, and determination can grow into a promising and impactful enterprise. From handmade beginnings to regional reach, the story of Sweety Bites continues to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs, proving that with passion, perseverance, and the right opportunities, success is truly within reach.
