Progress in constant motion gearing towards scaling this initiative to benefit more farmers and stakeholders in Zamboanga de Sur & Zamboanga Peninsula. With the visit of Usec. Arrey Perez & team from the Department of Agriculture, this brief check on what we do forges a stronger force of support from the national government to enhance production and consolidation mechanisms. We look forward to strengthened delivery of services and support so that we can caffeinate and color the Philippines (and the world) with coffee and chocolate brown in Zamboanga del Sur hue. ❤️

We can only enhance quality if we understand the challenges in the farm level. There maybe a lot of obstacles, but as long as we are willing to work together, keep an open communication and actively listen, a brighter coffee future awaits.

We went to Nanga-nangan Tigbao last month and check out how they are doing. They produce most of our abaca production and these are planted alongside coffee, cacao & coconuts. This origin is promising and we can't wait to taste more coffees next year. 🍒

Thanks to our provincial government leaders in raising the banner for Zamboanga del Sur quality coffee production. Thank you ex-Gov. Victor Yu, Gov. Divina Grace Yu, and our municipal LGU partner headed by Mayor Margie Machon together with her solid team Liargao.

This is made possible through our collaboration with DTI - Zamboanga del Sur headed by PD Marlon Alabata togethwe with IC Focal Jason L Jao. We continue to improve and enhance communication of quality with our partner farmers through cuppings and feedback.

Our very own head of processing Ivy Medrano completed the CVA for Cuppers course by Specialty Coffee Association last December 2025. This will help us advance quality production with a more effective communication with clients and farmers alike. This is made possible by Gov. Divina Grace C. Yu and Cong. Joseph Cabardo Yu in support to our provincial coffee industry. Zambosurians are lucky to have visionary leaders elevating Zamboanga del Sur coffee to a different, better level. ❤️

This AVP was created in celebration of the Zamboanga del Sur 5th Kakao Festival last July 4-7, 2025. Albeit late, we're posting this video to remind us of the purpose and value of the coffee and cacao in our province that's affecting businesses, including the lives of farmers and workers in the agriculture sector. Mabati sab ni sa thriving local businesses. 𝙒𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙖 𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙘𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙. As a new year unfold and the harvest (or peak) season is about to conclude, let this be an inspiration to us Zambosurians, may we become proud of our own produce.

In the past, we struggled to find a market with a fair value to our products. Karon, naa na tay processing station nga mupalit sa atong raw materials sama sa wet cacao beans ug fresh coffee cherries. Dili na dalhon sa layong dapit para makabaligya, dili na magtagad ug pila ka-adlaw nga mauga kay inig human harvest, buak (kakao) or palutaw (kape), mahalin na dayon. Through this, makabuhat ta ug produkto nga mas magdadugay, daghan (kay consolidated man) ug dekalidad. Dili na mahitabo kung dili kita magtinabangay.
