Recently, Chef Samson Semwenda was invited to showcase Swahili cuisine at the World Bazaar Festival under Woobie’s Holiday Kitchen theme, an experience we truly cherish. During the event, he prepared Matoke Nyama, allowing guests to not only watch the cooking process but also taste and experience the rich, comforting flavors of Swahili cuisine from Tanzania! 🇹🇿

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do… sharing culture, stories, and heritage through food.

We are deeply honored by the invitation, grateful for the opportunity, and humbled to once again showcase Swahili cuisine to a wider audience.

For almost six wonderful years here in Project 8 Quezon City, you’ve allowed Mapishi to be part of your family moments, celebrations, and everyday cravings. We are deeply grateful for every visit, every order, and every word of support you have given us. Your love has carried us farther than we ever imagined, and our hearts are truly full.

As we enter a season of transition, our dine-in and Grab services will take a short pause. But this is not goodbye. We will continue serving you through advance orders and delivery, especially this Holiday season. Also, our regular pop-up stores will remain open at Emerald Avenue Ortigas every Saturday and Sidcor Sunday Market at Eton Centris.

We are actively looking for a new home nearby, and we look forward to welcoming you again very soon.

Thank you for standing with us through every high and low. This pause is a step toward a stronger bounce back —— one that will let us serve you better, grow deeper roots, and bring you something exciting in the near future.
