About Zipang

The kingdom of Zipang is now known throughout the modern world as Japan, and from this 'land where the sun is born' hails the chef Ishikawa Masashi. He has since then cooked for several restaurants, a sushi bar, and finally, a nutrition kitchen. To Masashi, the sweetest smiles come from eating good food, and the greatest fulfillment comes from seeing people happy because of the food

he makes. Masashi loves to cook because it is a creative venture. He finds it wondrous how a single set of ingredients can be turned into countless different dishes, depending on where you are in the world. His vision for Zipang, then, is for it to be a place where Filipinos can eat food grown from their own soil but prepared after the manner of his people.
