Happy 1st Anniversary, Hija de Pita! 🌮💛

We never really planned on opening a taqueria. We started by selling limited tacos and birria outside Elite Aerial Arts. Then one day, we accidentally passed by this place with a “FOR RENT” sign and thought, “Tara, open tayo ng Hija de Pita.”

It was definitely a shot in the dark. We were in an inner street, had a limited budget, and most of what we had came from surplus and DIY. We were lucky to have artist friends (hi, Levin Cvrcrvsh 🫶🏼) who helped us make the space look and feel like Hija de Pita.

All we really had was the courage to try and our love for good food. Fast forward through pop-ups, private reservations, and a whole lot of learning, we’re now one year in! 🥹

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported our little business. We truly appreciate every visit, order, share, and recommendation.
