Dodie's cake is an all-time snack food that will soon be introduced in selected streets of Quezon City and some areas in Caloocan and San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. vitamin and mineral content of food and retains the natural juices of its ingredients. Due to limited resources, this food cart business may take sometime to spread out in different places and be offered to public for franchise.

Why Dodie's Cake Snack-food is Healthy?

Aside from being delicious and affordable, one might ask why Dodie's Cake products are exceptionally healthy all-time snack foods for everyone. Below, are the reasons:

1. Dodie's cake is a steam-cooked food
Steaming is the best and healthy technique in cooking foods, because most vital nutrients are retained in this kind of process. Likewise, the cellular structure of food tissues in steamed foods is not lost, including its aromatic composition

2. Dodie's cake has no cooking oil or margarine
In frying, grilling, or boiling, Dodie's cake uses no cooking oil that destroys many essential nutrients in foods. Commercially made cooking oil has saturated and transfatty acids whether fully or partially hydrogenated. It can cause cancer and other related diseases because of its high cholesterol contents

3. Dodie's cake uses little amount of baking powder
We decided to use little baking powder in our products to improve the quality and enhance its taste

4. Dodie's cake has no preservatives or additives
Since, most food preservatives are dangerous to health, or may increase the risks of person's respiratory immunologic and other metabolic complications, we certainly will not resort to adding those synthetic or artificial chemical. There is never any reason to prolong the life of the endproducts, because they are only good to served and eat while warm, or freshly steamed

5. Dodie's cake has no food coloring
We do not put dye, pigment, or any coloring substance whether natural or synthetic in the products

6. Dodie's cake uses more than 90% natural sweeteners
Although, the dough or skin of the end-products have less than 10% granulated sugar against its total weight plus a pinch of salt, which are extremely much essential ingredient to make them firm, stable, soft, and fluffy in post cooking time; we still uses more than 90% natural and truly healthy but expensive palm sugar with only 35 Glycemic Index in its fillings (anything under 55 G.I. is considered low) and a little amount of honey as sweeteners. We, therefore, think that it is still quite acceptable by people with diabetes, or glucose intolerance.

7. Dodie's cake uses only rice flour, tapioca starch, cornstarch, sweet potato flour, carrageenan, and other secret ingredients, but still organic
Since, all breads, pasta, pizza crusts, loaves, and many other baked products that use wheat, barley, or rye flour have gluten, the nitrogenous substance or mixtures of proteins including gliadin and glutelin, we use the above main ingredients to make the products purely organic that can be eaten by everyone, especially for those people with celiac disease, also known as gluten intolerant - a genetic disorder that disrupts the absorption of nutrients in the intestine.

Note: Unlike, flour with gluten to make breads, pasta, loaves, etc., all the gluten-free flour mixtures that Dodie's cake use in its finished products become bit hard when eaten a day after, and cannot be resold, reheated, resteamed, or microwave oven, else one may end up eating foods as tough as rock. So, the good thing about Dodie's cake products is, one can be certain that all are freshly prepared and made every time you buy this not-so-typical or unique native-like "p**o" delicacy in the Philippines.

Therefore, Dodie's Cake products are delicious to be eaten while warm, or just as pleasurable to consume few hours after cooking.

We believed that the demand for this type of food would be high in the first opening salvo of the business due to its uniqueness in the market and very affordable price. Imagine! Where on earth you could buy a delicious, nutritious, satisfying, and one of its kind all-time snack food for sale in the streets at P5.00 a piece?

Curiosity might drive the passersby to come to buy the product. As soon as the customers tasted the product fresh and warm they would surely order more to take out to bring them home for their families.
