For the past years, I’ve been sharing photos of our cakes but this year I want to share a little bit about our journey in this humble home bakery. 🤗
I was in college when we started this small business. My father was an OFW in Libya and because of the war, he was forced to come home. He was the breadwinner and there was no way we can pay for the college tuition fees.
My nanay and I had an idea to sell cheesecake cups, cookies and cupcakes while I was studying in university. I started selling to my friends, org mates and classmates and since I had no brand name yet, people from university didn’t know how to order from me. 😅
A Facebook post written by a student made the whole school looking for me. 🙈
“Do you know Ate Cupcake?”
The next thing I knew, more and more students are already calling me Ate Cupcake and the rest is history. 💛
I’ll post more about this next time, but I just want to share that I’m so excited to be back in Mapúa this week! We will be selling the OG cheesecake cups and more for Mapúa’s foundation week!
See you, Mapúans! 💛
