Mookata is Thai for Pork Skillet,it's more commonly known as Thai barbecue. Unlike the regular barbecue that its grilled,Mookata is cooked in a shape liked dome with a shallow trench on its margin of broth. Grilling begins with a piece of pork fat placed at the apex of the grill. This serves as the source of oil followed by meat or seafood. And so the Mookata meal cooking begins.. Come try us now for a unqiue combination of bbq, hotpot and a taste of Thai all in one place!

Pad Thai or phat Thai is a stir-fried rice noodle dish commonly served as a street food and at casual local eateries in Thailand. It is thought to have been introduced to the ancient Thai capital city of Ayuthaya by Viet traders, and was subsequently altered to reflect the Thai flavor profile. During the late 1930s and 1940s, the dish was made popular in Thailand during World War II. Thai fascist government Plaek Phibunsongkhram named pad Thai as part of campaign to promote Thai nationalism and centralization, seeking to reduce domestic rice consumption. The Thai economy was heavily dependent on rice exports, and the prime minister hoped to increase the amount available for export by encouraging Thais to make and sell rice noodles from street carts and in small restaurants. Pad Thai has since become one of Thailand's national dishes and has become popular in many countries around the world.

Thai tea (also known as Thai iced tea) or "cha-yen". in Thailand, is a drink made from strongly brewed Ceylon tea. However, due to Ceylon tea's high price, plain black tea with added food coloring is commonly used.Other ingredients may include added orange blossom water, star anise, crushed tamarind seed or red and yellow food coloring, and sometimes other spices as well. Evaporated milk, coconut milk or whole milk is generally poured over the tea and ice before serving to add taste and creamy appearance. Come try it out now at Smookata!
