Paella Valenciana is believed to be the original recipe for paella. It consists of round-rice, variety of green beans, rabbit, chicken, sometimes duck, a variety of butter bean, cooked in olive oil and chicken broth. Traditionally, the yellow color comes from saffron, but turmeric and calendula can be used as substitutes.
Paella de marisco (Seafood Paella) replaces meat with variety of seafoods.
