TAIYAKI STORY

"A man by the name of Seijiro Kanbei was going through a rough period. His imagawayaki store was not doing well and that led him to take creative measures, to develop a new and inventive shape for his Japanese snack. The reason why the sea bream shape was chosen has been debated since its creation over 100 years ago. Many believe that it was to give the common people a taste of luxury.
