This afternoon, Ánanda Márga Pracaraka Samgha WWD Manila Sector, Heaven On Earth - Manila, and AMURT Philippines visited the Las Piñas City Jail for a service mission to provide support to the inmates.

This visit was particularly meaningful for our community as we commemorate Nilakantha Diivas. We chose to honor the legacy of our founder and guide, Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, and the time he spent as a prisoner by reaching out to those currently facing their own struggles behind bars. This initiative allowed us to come together in the spirit of service and share tools for inner peace.

During our visit, we shared the practice of Namaskar, which means "I salute the Divinity within you with all my mind and all my heart," and sang Kiirtan Baba Nam Kevalam together. We explained its message that love is the fundamental reality uniting us all, helping to clear the mind of negative thoughts and complexes while fostering spiritual growth and freedom from suffering. We also taught the inmates how to meditate to help them find mental clarity and distributed sentient vegetarian meals to everyone.

Our goal was simply to share hope and remind them that they are not forgotten. We want to extend our sincere gratitude to the Philippine National Police and the officers at the Las Piñas City Jail for their assistance and for giving us the space to serve and connect with the community there today.

Service to Humanity is Service to God.
