That spirit came to life during ๐๐ฎ๐ฉ๐๐๐ง๐ค ๐๐๐ญ๐: ๐๐ฉ๐๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐ฉ โ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐, where our community had the honor of taking part in the first-ever ๐๐ฎ๐ฉ๐๐๐ง๐ค ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฎ๐๐ฅ.
Using the same coffee, tasting through blind cups, and letting the table decide, participants weren't simply brewing, they were helping shape a platform built around learning, improvement, and community.
More than a scoring system, CupRank aims to make brewdowns more accessible and portable, giving brewers meaningful feedback over time, helping them understand what works, identify winning approaches, and track their own progress. Most importantly, it keeps coffee where it has always belonged: ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ซ๐ฌ.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations and thanks to the minds behind CupRank: Dot Mediano of Lot 38 and Truck 38 , Zy-za Mayato-Luzada President of Panabo Coffee Community, and Dandy Alberto of Where to Coffee for allowing PCC to be part of this milestone.
Our sincere gratitude as well to Rj Visto of RunnerUp Coffee for warmly hosting the event and serving great coffee throughout the afternoon, and to Kelvin Lim of Annex Coffee for roasting the beans used during the Open Cup.
To everyone who traveled to Panabo to join us, thank you for believing in this vision and for sharing your time, ideas, and enthusiasm. And to every PCC admin and member behind the scenes, this successful launch was possible because of your dedication.
This is only Round 1, but every game-changing idea begins with people willing to play before the rules are fully written.
