🎉🌈 Celebrating Adlaw han Kabataan 2026! 🌈🎉

On August 1, 2026, the Palo Livelihood Cooperatives and Development Center proudly collaborated with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) and Tinker House in celebrating Adlaw han Kabataan at the Palo Montejo Gym —an inspiring initiative made possible through the vision and leadership of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Remedios “Matin” L. Petilla.

More than 200 daycare pupils from different barangays and daycare centers across the Municipality of Palo gathered for a fun-filled day of learning, creativity, and nutritious food experiences.

✨ The young participants enjoyed exciting interactive activities, including:
🍪 Creating and decorating their very own Veggie Cookies
🍦 Tasting our delicious and nutritious Soya Veggie Ice Cream

Nothing brings us greater joy than seeing the smiles on our children’s faces as they learn, explore, and enjoy healthy food in a fun and engaging way. Events like these reflect our commitment to promoting proper nutrition, creativity, and community collaboration for the benefit of every child.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration a meaningful and memorable success. Together, we continue to build a healthier, happier, and brighter future for the children of Palo.

✅ Reorientation on the implementation of TRAIN LOKAL Scholarships under the Tulong Trabaho Scholarship Program (TTSP).
✅ Workshops on LGU Profiling and the CTEC Information System.
✅ Discussions on various TESDA initiatives and upcoming opportunities that support community-based skills training and sustainable livelihood programs.

The LGU Palo Technical Education and Skills Development Center remains committed to working hand in hand with TESDA and other partner agencies in providing quality technical-vocational education and livelihood opportunities that empower individuals and strengthen our communities.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the TESDA Leyte Provincial Office for the invitation and for continuously championing inclusive, accessible, and community-driven TVET programs.

On July 20, 2026 we welcomed the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Leyte to the Palo Livelihood Food Processing and Packaging Center for the conduct of a Training Needs Assessment (TNA) in preparation for the Nutribun Technology Transfer Program, along with a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Gap Analysis.

The activity was led by DOST Leyte PSTO headed by Provincial S&T Director Mhardy C. Montejo together with Project Technical Assistant I Leonil V. Bilbao & Ms. Cathrene Encina who assessed our facility, production processes, and current food safety practices to identify areas for improvement and ensure our readiness for the technology transfer.

We sincerely thank the DOST Leyte team for their valuable insights, technical guidance, and unwavering support in helping us strengthen our food processing operations. This initiative is another significant step toward enhancing our production capabilities and providing more nutritious, quality food products for our community.

Together, we continue to embrace science, technology, and innovation in empowering livelihoods and promoting sustainable community development.
