Dearest Family/Friends of Sonny and Cecile Alvarez,
My parents’ attending physician said my dad is a candidate for the experimental plasma therapy, but they need help finding a recovered Covid patient’s plasma with similar blood type.
If by some miraculous chance you may know a recovered Covid patient below 65yrs of age with A+ blood type who can donate their plasma to PGH, kindly have him/her look for Dr. Gerry Castillo, the hematologist.
I wish I could bring a blood extraction kit to the donor’s home, but it was explained to me the procedure is not that simple.
PGH has a special machine where they extract only the plasma and return the red blood cells (so there won’t be further weakening either).
Again, I can’t express how grateful we are for the prayers and well-wishes. And we continue storming heaven with more prayers for all Covid patients, and for the frontliners bravely putting their lives at risk.
