We missed sharing these little anecdotes. How was your year while we were away? It was a whirlwind of a year for us — busy, productive, and filled with new adventures beyond the four corners of our café. But, nothing quite compares to our cherished weekends with you!

So, for our surprise reopening, we quietly prepared and met new friends to make it a bit more special.

A few months ago, we visited our friends at in Makati where we were warmly welcomed by , the owner of Primal Brew. He walked us through the variety of beans, roasts, and blends that we can explore for the cafe — with a coffee-tasting session to boot! We enjoyed exchanging ideas and stories over cups of coffee. It was an amazing experience and we can’t wait to visit again. Thank you, Jancy and the Primal Brew Team!

Our longtime neighbors, JC and I are grateful to you for the warm welcome during our two-day maiden operations. It truly warmed our hearts to see and chat with you again as you patiently waited while we fulfilled your orders.

It thrills us to know that we still have a place in your weekend routine even after a year-long hiatus. We are so proud of our little community at the café and how it has continued to fluorish. This is exactly what inspired us to reopen. Never mind having busy schedules and commitments as it is all worth it. 🫶🏼

After a long hiatus, I finally found the courage to write.

Hello, neighbors! It feels great to say that after so long. How have you all been? It's been nearly five months since our last post, and a lot has happened during that time. One thing that hasn't changed is that we miss all of you! 🥹

I'm writing to share some stories from our time away. While the installation of the cafe's new restroom was underway, we kept busy with our respective projects. It's been a surreal few months. I've been heavily involved in launching our small progressive preschool in Bilolo, Bataan. Thankfully, things have been sailing smoothly, and we've hit the ground running. I have also been busy advocating for my causes, that is, mentoring young and aspiring entrepreneurs, not only in our community but also outside Bataan. Recently, I also had my inaugural teaching stint at one of the universities in Manila. On the other hand, JC has been actively managing the plant shop and attending plant conferences out of town. It's been a productive break for us, allowing us to pursue our passion projects while on vacation.

As enjoyable as it has been, there's one thing missing — seeing all of you, our neighbors, on weekends while we serve you your favorite cup of coffee. We miss our chats and catching up with you while you enjoy your favorite Signature Sisig Pasta or a cup of Iced Raspberry Hibiscus Tea!

With our tight schedules and expanding roles outside the cafe's four walls, we're now working on figuring out how to operate smoothly without compromising our current commitments and the valued time with our neighbors. However, one thing is certain — we promise to be back very soon!

Apart from the newly completed restroom, we're also sprucing up the space with some additions to enhance your café experience.

Thank you, neighbors, for your support and love, especially during our time away. We appreciate all the messages we received in the past months; they have motivated and driven us to return soon. They have also reminded us that we are still loved and missed, and we have a place in everyone's weekend routines.

Hey, neighbor! We miss you all. Although we're still taking a break, we thought of updating you all on what we've been up to lately. ✨

During our break, I've had the chance to pursue one of my passions - mentoring young minds about entrepreneurial mindset. The experience has been incredible so far! Recently, I was invited by our friends at Go Negosyo to participate in the Bataan leg of Youthpreneur. The event was held at Bataan National High School and was attended by students from various senior high schools in Balanga City. I had the pleasure of sharing our stories with some of the brightest minds from Balanga City National Science High School. Thanks to Go Negosyo and our friends at the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. - Bataan, it was a fun and unforgettable experience for me!

We'll keep you informed of our whereabouts and activities. We look forward to seeing you on April 26th! 🫶🏼

Hey there! How was your long vacation?

We opened during Holy Week for the first time last weekend, and it felt surreal! Despite the hot weather, our neighbors gave us a warm reception, and we were excited to see both familiar and new faces at the café. Thanks to your support, we've set a new record for the most cups served since our opening. 🙌🏼

Your warm welcome to our special weekend opening touched us deeply. Before last weekend, we had decided to temporarily close our doors to focus on our individual projects. However, seeing so many old and new neighbors flock to our café reminded us of how important our little coffee shop is to the community. It's a safe space for people to unwind and relax, and we're proud to be a part of something so positive! ✨

We're pretty sure you'll miss us, but don't worry; we're taking a short break to concentrate on other projects. We'll be back refreshed and focused, ready to serve you a delicious cup of coffee.

Hello, neighbor! ✨

We are thrilled to see most of you again after so many weeks of being closed. It feels like we have not seen you in a year, and not being open every weekend makes it seem even longer! While we were waiting for our espresso machine to be fixed, we took the time to spruce up the café by rearranging most of the furniture and revarnishing the wooden walls. We think it has given the café a more communal vibe, and we can't wait for you to see it!

Starting February 2nd, we will be updating our menu, adding old favorites, and introducing new ones to improve your café experience even more! We also plan to add new offerings on a regular basis, so stay tuned!

We do have another small change to announce. While we've been holding on to our year-old pricing, we've decided to make a slight increase in the prices of our beverages and snacks. We know this isn't the most exciting news, but we want to be transparent with you about the rising overhead costs caused by inflation.

Thanks so much for being such awesome neighbors and always supporting us! We cannot wait to see you all this weekend. 🤍

PS: We are back to our regular hours: Friday, 2–10 PM; Saturday–Sunday, 12 PM–10 PM.

We're super excited to open our doors today, but we've hit a bit of a snag. 😢 Our coffee machine decided to take a little break, and we need to get it serviced before we can serve up your favorite brews again. We know it's a bit of a bummer, but we want to ensure your coffee experience is top-notch. So, we'll close up shop for the rest of the week to get our trusty machine fixed up and ready to roll. We'll be back in action next week, though, and we can't wait to see you again.

Hi, neighbor! How has your new year been so far?

Our holidays were great! We spent time with our loved ones and reflected on the highlights of the past year. We had a fantastic year; we made new friends, and new opportunities presented themselves. During the holidays, we also had time to think about the cafe's bright future. ✨

Oh, and we wanted to share our plans for the cafe, too! Our two-man team has been serving the community successfully on weekends, but we believe it's high time for us to expand our operations. We are excited to add new team members in the coming months and have more time to be creative with our offerings!

We are also updating our menu by adding new beverages and treats, such as our Iced Vanilla Cream Cold Brew, and other exciting drinks in the coming weeks! Over the next few months, we will be launching initiatives to keep our promise of becoming your neighborhood café.

We're looking forward to a bright 2024, and we hope you'll join us for an exciting ride! 🙌🏼

Hello there!

How are the holidays treating you? We hope it's been as exciting and fulfilling as ours! We've been buzzing with activity lately, especially since we just wrapped up our favorite annual tradition: giving out Gratitude Cookies to all our amazing patrons who visited our cafe last week! Speaking of which, it is incredible to think that this is our third year of continuous weekly operations! Despite the year's ups and downs, we have managed to stick around and continue brewing your favorite cup of coffee. It's been an incredible journey, and we couldn't have done it without all of you. 🫶🏼

We just wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to all our friends, old and new, who have made our weekend neighborhood cafe such a special place. You guys are the reason we do what we do, and we can't wait to see y'all again next year!

Hello there. We hope everything is going well. ✨

The year is coming to a close, but we still have a month left to enjoy! We want to take a moment to express our gratitude to all of our neighbors who have made our small cafe their weekend hideaway. Despite the RTOs and your hectic schedule, you always make time to visit the cafe. How about a nice cup of latte to celebrate?

Since we missed our Friday crowd, we're returning to our good ol' schedule. The cafe will be open from Friday to Sunday, just like before. We also posted our December schedule in our stories, so please have a look.
