Q&A
Do I need Ng doctor's note po if I am 23 weeks pregnant on my travel date?
Hello, this is Alexjoy Travel and Tours - assisting passengers in understanding their travel situations while providing helpful tips and expert advice to ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey.
If you are 23 weeks pregnant and have a normal, uncomplicated pregnancy, most airlines do not require a doctor's note at that stage. Many airlines only start requiring a medical certificate or "fit-to-fly" clearance from around 28 weeks onward, while some have different policies.
However, I recommend bringing a doctor's clearance anyway if:
⚠️ You have a high-risk pregnancy (e.g., bleeding, hypertension, risk of preterm labor, placenta problems, twins or multiple pregnancy).
⚠️ Your airline specifically requires it.
⚠️ You're traveling internationally, as it can help if airline staff have questions about your pregnancy
If you're flying with Philippine Airlines (PAL), their policy generally requires a physician's clearance for passengers who are beyond 6 months (around 24 weeks or more) or those with pregnancy complications.
I hope this information helps you make the best decision regarding your medical condition.
