✨PASTIL THAT STOOD TIME ✨
Our Pastil-making journey started way back 2019. It was because of our deep interest in making quality and affordable go-to food for students that Geranly’s Pastil was born. We made many revisions on its taste and on its complimentary condiment — Geranly’s Chili Paste.
In 2019, Misamis Oriental is enjoying low prices for Chicken and other ingredients. Thus, we had an introductory price of P15.00 pesos. Students were elated to know that for that amount only they can fill their empty stomachs with fresh and hot PASTIL after their classes. Long lines were seen in the store every single day at 11:30 and at 1PM every single Pastil is sold out. What a sight to see, everyday.
But then, covid-19 took place early 2020 and forced every store to close. No classes. No students. No more long lines at the MSUN Campus Foodcourt. No more Pastil.
Yes it was quite sad, but Geranly’s PASTIL, as a pioneering PASTIL in misamis Oriental, the first PASTIL in Naawan, stood against the test of time. In, 2023 we again opened our 2nd store just below Frateos Naawan. Quite nervous for being reborn once again and quite nervous that students wouldn’t recognize us. But we were surprised to receive comments like “hala kamo diay tong sa MSUN foodcourt ya?” We were surprised to know that they did not forget us.
Thank you dear customers for patronizing our PASTIL. Our pride. Our own. For more than 5 years, thank you for being with us through highs and lows.
