It has been a while since we had paella, and a good paella at that. That’s why we were so excited when we learned about this local brand called Paeya! To try it out, we got their Paella Negra and their White Sangria. The moment we took the lid off the paella tray, that lovely aroma of a freshly-made paella hit us which made us instantly salivate. Seeing the generous amount of squid as well as the shrimp made us smile. Even though it didn’t come in a paella pan, we could see the socarrat. We live for those crispy, savory crust! The Paella Negra was cooked beautifully and has that delicate yet tasty seafood flavor. To add a little oomph, we squeezed some fresh lemon juice on the rice which added vibrance to the dish.

The White Sangria was the perfect pair. Well, sangria is always perfect with anything, even on its own.☺️

Paella is a Spanish rice dish originally from Valencia. Paella is one of the best-known dishes in Spanish cuisine. Recently, I discovered PaeYa’s Longga Paella. I paired it with Bicol Express Chicken Wings. ¡Delicioso y sabroso!
