CHELSY AGUILAR is a Filipino singer, recording artist, and live performer. She first gained prominence in the Philippine music industry in 2013 as an original member of the early P-pop girl group Maria Clara New Generation. Following a hiatus from the mainstream group circuit, she returned to the music industry as a solo performer and as the frontwoman and lead vocalist for the OPM (Original Pilipino Music) band Time Machine.
Aguilar entered the professional music industry in 2013 when she joined the pioneering P-pop girl group Maria Clara New Generation. The group was formed during the foundational wave of modern Pinoy pop (P-pop), utilizing a creative concept that blended contemporary pop arrangements, choreography, and vocal harmonies with traditional Filipino themes.
The original five-member lineup consisted of: Kisses, Jeremie, Angel, Kitkat, and Chelsy Aguilar.
During her tenure with the group, Aguilar participated in national television broadcasts, studio recordings, live concert stages, and promotional media tours, establishing her early foundation in the local music industry.
After a temporary hiatus from group promotions, Aguilar launched a professional comeback in the local music circuit. She re-emerged both as a solo artist and as the lead vocalist of the OPM band Time Machine.
As the primary vocalist for Time Machine, Aguilar is backed by an instrumental lineup consisting of: Jeff Tabios (Lead Guitar), Ken Pendon (Rhythm Guitar), Kiko Cañares (Bass Guitar), Donn Flores (Drums), and Mac Novicio (Saxophone).
On October 3, 2025, Aguilar and the band released their first collaborative EP bundle under PolyEast Records, spearheaded by the track "Bakit 'Di Mo Sinabi," composed by Alan Ayque of “Tell Me” and “Kahit Isang Saglit” fame, among others. In March 2026, Aguilar served as the featured lead vocalist on Time Machine's full-length studio album, Time Machine: Dance To The Beat.
Aguilar shifted to a major label roster by signing an official contract with music label Off The Record, in tandem with a global product and distribution partnership with Sony Music Entertainment. The contract signing was finalized alongside music industry executive and CEO Ricky Ilacad, and General Manager Francis Dayao.
The partnership marked a strategic pivot toward globally distributed solo releases, introducing a slate of upcoming tracks including her solo releases "Tagaytay Weather" and a revamped distribution rollout for "Bagong Maria Clara". The signing also positioned Aguilar around themes of women's empowerment in OPM, with an upcoming trilogy of anthem-style tracks titled "Miss Independent", "Kaya Ko ‘To", and "Girl Power".
