Kainan na! Pesang Loro

Pesang Loro

Ingredients:
1 big-sized Loro or any fish, cleaned and cut into serving pieces
1 onion, chopped
1 ginger halagang limang piso ๐Ÿ˜‚
1 teaspoon peppercorns
4 tablespoons fish sauce
1 head cabbage or a bunch of pechay
3/4 liter rice washing or water
2 medium-sized potatoes, quartered(optional)

Procedures:
1. In a pot, heat oil then saute ginger and onion.
2. Add potatoes and peppercorns then continue sauteing for a minute.
3. Pour rice washing and bring to boil then season with fish sauce.
4. Add fish then simmer for 3 minutes. Adjust seasoning according to taste.
5. Add cabbage then simmer for another 2 minutes. Turn off the heat.
6. Transfer to serving bowl then serve immediately.
7. Wag kalimutan magyaya, Kainan na!

Kaninan na!: Totsong Bangus

Ingredients
1 medium sized bangus, patanggalan na ng tinik sa palengke para kain na lang ng kain. ๐Ÿ˜‚
2 squares tahure
1 large onion, sliced
2-3 tomatoes, sliced mas madami pede rin kung madami sa ref kesa masayang ๐Ÿ˜‰
3 cloves minced garlic
2 tbsp. ginger strips
โ…“ cup vinegar
1 cup water
Magic Sarap
cooking oil for frying

Instructions
How to cook Totsong Bangus
1. Sprinkle Maggi Maggic Sarap, gayahin mo you ng pagoahid ni Sarah G. sa commercial para mas masarap then fry until magbrown lang parang nasa picture wag mo na tustahin masarap yung juicy pa isda madali naman yan maluto.

2. Mash tahure, add vinegar and water.
Saute garlic, then add ginger. Stir sliced onion and tomatoes.
Saute for 3 minutes, then pour in tahure mixture and cover.

3. When it boils, add fried bangus maalat yung tahure kaya tikim tikim na lang ng lasang okay sayo dagdag mo na lang yung tira mong Magic Sarap kung kulang sa alat. Cook for 10 minutes.

4. Wag kalimutan magyakag! Kainan na! ๐Ÿ˜‹

Kainan na!: Paksiw na Pata

Ingredients
1 tablespoon oil
1 medium onion, peeled and sliced
4 to 5 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
2 pounds pork shanks, cut 2-inch thick
2 to 3 bay leaves
6 to 8 peppercorns, cracked
1 cup vinegar
ยฝ cup soy sauce
2 cups water
ยผ cup brown sugar
ยฝ cup banana blossoms (dried lily buds)
salt to taste

Instruction

1. In a heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat, heat oil. Add garlic and onions and cook until aromatic. Add pork shanks and cook, turning occasionally, until lightly browned on all sides. Add in bay leaves and crushed peppercorn.

2. Add vinegar and allow to cook for about 3 to 5 minutes. Add soy sauce, water and sugar and bring to a boil. Lower heat and cover. Simmer, adding more water in ยฝ cup increments as needed, for about 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until meat starts to fall off bone and sauce is reduced and thickened.

3. Add banana blossoms and cook until soft. Season with salt to taste. Serve hot.
