The outdoor cafe was built using natural materials, from stone flooring to bamboo tables. An outdoor dry bar was constructed from locally-sourced hardwood from sustainable woodlands. Efficient equipment is continually employed, including two commercial eco kalans (portable clay stoves), and an energy-saving professional oven. Additionally, patrons find the experience of eating at WHFI’s Natural Garden Cafe to be fun and fulfilling. Diners enjoy interacting with, and learning about the culture of the deaf population; likewise, many enjoy learning the basics of sign language over the course of a few meals. Fulfillment comes in patronizing a non-profit establishment that directly funds the hiring of the deaf and promotes healthy Pinoy cuisine.
