Healthy, delicious food at budget prices proudly prepared and served by deaf staff using chemical-free ingredients from the garden ensuring every bite is a delightful journey of flavors! Here, deaf kitchen staff and managers harvest ingredients from Welcome Home’s garden and nearby sources to create New Filipino cuisine, a wonderful combination of local recipes and low-fat/salt/sugar techniques us

ed globally. The result is a menu of nutritious meals that the community enjoys at a price it can afford. (Each of our meals are fifty pesos, which is roughly one US dollar!)

The outdoor cafe was built using natural materials, from stone flooring to bamboo tables. An outdoor dry bar was constructed from locally-sourced hardwood from sustainable woodlands. Efficient equipment is continually employed, including two commercial eco kalans (portable clay stoves), and an energy-saving professional oven. Additionally, patrons find the experience of eating at WHFI’s Natural Garden Cafe to be fun and fulfilling. Diners enjoy interacting with, and learning about the culture of the deaf population; likewise, many enjoy learning the basics of sign language over the course of a few meals. Fulfillment comes in patronizing a non-profit establishment that directly funds the hiring of the deaf and promotes healthy Pinoy cuisine. Please join us for a celebration of Deaf culture through healthy food, naturally grown and harvested right here! Every purchase you make is a for a great cause; this money goes straight to the livelihood of our deaf staff and on-the-job trainees.

Thank you to the students, parents, and staff from KinderFirst Learning and Development Center who came to Welcome Home Foundation and the Natural Garden Cafe for an educational tour! Students learned about our garden, aquaponics, and composting and had a chance to learn about Saori weaving and deaf culture! We hope you had a great time!
