This BTS video from wheninmanila was not submitted by us but from one of our last diners on our last day of service in Makati. She noticed the staff taking videos of our last day and she ended up “directing” their final bow. Here is her story:
“It was such a privilege to be there that night to witness such a bittersweet moment. I just felt like giving the staff their own curtain call, like a moment to take a bow and feel appreciated after their years of service. Nakakatuwa rin kasi ang samahan nila.
Like I mentioned to wheninmanila, we weren’t even regular patrons, but my friend and I really wanted to drop by knowing that an “institusyon” in the industry was closing its doors. We didn’t have a reservation but Ms. Edna kindly accommodated us anyway. The food was superb, the b**r was ice-cold just the way we like it, and the service was so attentive that we ended up being the very last diners that night.
Same week, we had a family lunch and I shared the story and video with a cousin. He suggested, “Why don’t you reach out to When In Manila?”. So, armed with kapal ng mukha and good intentions, I messaged them on FB. They replied and asked me to email someone on their team.”
Thank you Ms. Espiritu for capturing our last night our last day in Makati and giving our staff the credit and final bow they deserve. Thank you When In Manila for posting this lovely BTS video.
Happy to say that Edna and her team are now in Paco, serving everyone with the same attentiveness and care that Ms. Espiritu noticed.
