Together with their families, they started an Indian restaurant that would feed, host and become the favorite Indian restaurant in Manila for decades to come. Forty five years after its founding, the legacy of Kashmir lives on. Now under new management, Kashmir positions itself for the next decade with a new flagship in BGC, Taguig, in Metro Manila. Same team, same wonderful food and new home.

Somewhere in Manila, Omar Krishna had 10 sacks of flour in his trunk. Not for baking — to make traversing Manila roads smoother by weighing down the car.

Then the Hormuz Strait energy crisis hit. Flour shipments to Manila? Delayed. Weeks. The Kashmir kitchen ran dry.

But Omar Krishna’s trunk didn’t. 🫡

Samosa, naan, chapati — all back on the menu. And on the way out? “Boss, can you deliver this Palak Paneer?” Of course he can.
