The original Hapag Kainan Restaurant was established in the mid 90's which was located along Mc-Arthur Hi-way Mabiga Mabalacat Pampanga was then famous for its lively vibe of food and entertainment had once became a popular food stop for those journeying up North. Pinatubo in 1991, business was brought down to closure. And 25 years later, we are doing a major comeback to celebrate the revival of all the favorite filipino dishes with a twist. Thus, the birth of the The Modern Hapag Kainan (kitchen + bar). A combo for recalling the glorious past with a dash of new ideas. The native tagalog word for 'table' is hapag but Filipinos commonly use it in the compound word Hapag-kainan for 'dinner table'. Hapag Kainan reflects the Filipino Family dining culture at home, simple yet intimate. Eating together as a family is something we do everyday. It doesn't take much effort, it comes naturally. We don't have to come up with the rule or set up guidelines. We just do it because it is the only way we know how to have meals. We are raised by our parents to value meal times together. And because Filipino Families today are guilty of taking such moment for granted. Where we incorporated different cuisines from different regions here in the Philippines that will satisfy your food cravings from your homegrown provinces. Whether they are classic or modern, home or upscale, there is no denying when it comes to addicting qualities and flavors of a filipino dish. Our restaurant will be a place for families to come together for a happy meal any time of the day or for friends to sit down and dine on a evening of fun and laughter, and really just explore what we have to offer.
