Written by 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗺𝘆𝗮𝗸𝘂 and illustrated by 𝗠𝗶𝘇𝘂𝗸𝗶 𝗬𝗼𝗱𝗮, Marriage Toxin, also known as 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙏𝙤𝙠𝙞, is an ongoing manga serialized under 𝘚𝘩ō𝘯𝘦𝘯 𝘑𝘶𝘮𝘱+ with 19 ᴠᴏʟᴜᴍᴇꜱ and 181 ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀꜱ 📝 Catering to the 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯-𝘙𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘺 genre, MariToki debuted in 2022 and went on to air an anime adaptation in April of 2026! 💌🎊

🖋️ 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀
Gero is a young man, as well as an experienced hitman. All his life he’s considered himself to have “no prospects with women” and marriage as “something not for him.” However, one day, in fear that their lineage would dissolve, his clan warns Gero that if he doesn’t marry and produce an heir, they would have no choice but to force his little sister into doing “that.” Driven to his wits’ end, Gero asks the target of his work, a marriage swindler, to marry him?! Instead, the swindler offers to be his marriage adviser, and their pursuit of the perfect marriage begins!

⭐️ 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝘁?
Marriage Toxin takes the harem genre and subverts its most common tropes in a tasteful way. Female leads exist not just to serve Gero’s narrative, but as well as each others’, as their interpersonal relationships are explored within the manga. The story’s overarching theme of identity, freedom, and defiance is consistently reinforced through healthy relationships between Gero and each female lead, other friends and allies, as well as Gero and Kinosaki (marriage swindler) in particular. In this yearly celebration of Japanese culture, the Philippine Association of Japanese Government Scholars, also known as 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐣𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬, has partnered with 𝐔𝐏 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐀 𝐒𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐢 to bring you this year’s 𝙉𝙞𝙝𝙤𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙞 𝙎𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩! 🎤⭐

The event will take place on 𝘖𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘣𝘦𝘳 12, 5𝘗𝘔 at 𝘉𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘳 𝘏𝘢𝘭𝘭— but don’t get too excited yet! 🤫 In order to showcase the best of the best, we will be hosting 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝘼𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 🤩✨

Hailing from Fukuoka Prefecture, 𝐃𝐄𝐂𝐎*𝟐𝟕 is a Vocaloid producer well known for making some of the most successful songs in the Vocaloid genre 👀 Inspired by the legendary Vocaloid producer group livetune, DECO*27 began posting his music on 𝘕𝘪𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘰. Now, he’s regarded as one of the most successful Vocaloid producers, with his songs often garnering millions of views on all platforms and often featured in Vocaloid Concerts and Shows worldwide ✨ His song, 𝘎𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘙𝘶𝘭𝘦, is regarded as one of the most influential songs in the Genre. Many fans say his songs are the most iconic in the genre, with some saying he’s had a part in keeping Vocaloid alive and persistent throughout the years. 🙇‼️

With his success, DECO*27 finds himself collaborating with other famous Vocaloid producers such as PinocchioP and Sasakure.UK, and those outside of the Vocaloid sphere, having partnered with Hololive and even the Pokémon franchise to make music. DECO*27 is also well known for starting the famous 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 interactive project with 𝘠𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘬𝘢 𝘛𝘢𝘬𝘶𝘺𝘢. 🎤⭐️

His style mainly consists of pop and rock, often featuring 𝙷𝚊𝚝𝚜𝚞𝚗𝚎 𝙼𝚒𝚔𝚞 as the vocalist. It is regarded as one of the most recognizable in the genre, with his tuning of Miku having a lifelike, high-energy feel to it that perfectly complements his songs’ 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘱𝘰𝘱 and 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗸 instrumentals 💥 In an interview, he cites Green Day, Blink-182, and Sum 41 as inspirations for his music, which led to his iconic electric rock sound.
