Attention parents and kids! Our skies in Cebu are currently blanketed by a thick, unhealthy haze. Local environmental authorities have labeled our air quality as Acutely Unhealthy, which means the air we breathe outside can easily make our little ones sick.
Children are especially vulnerable to air pollution. Let's keep them safe by practicing these habits:
• Wear proper masks. Put on well-fitted N95 or KN95 face masks whenever you step outside.
• Stay indoors. Limit outdoor playtime, recess, or sports until the haze clears up.
• Seal your home. Keep windows and doors closed to block out the smoky air.
• Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins and soothe irritated throats.
Check updates from your local government and school boards regarding flexible learning or safety protocols. Let’s protect our kids' lungs. Amping kanunay, Cebu!
