In the heart of Laguna lies a town where history isn’t just remembered—it’s felt in every step. Founded in 1571 by G*t Tayaw, Liliw has long been a place of craftsmanship and character. Most know it today as the "Tsinelas Capital of the Philippines," a vibrant hub framed by the iconic red bricks of the St. John the Baptist Church. But look closer at its roots, and you’ll find a story of melody: the town was originally named "Lilio," inspired by the sweet, haunting song of a local bird and officially changed to "Liliw" in 1965.
It was this spirit of honoring the past while embracing the new that led to the birth of Caffè Lilio Ristorante in March 2021. As the first authentic Italian fine-dining restaurant in Liliw, we set out to create more than just a place to eat—we wanted to create a destination. By reclaiming the name "Lilio," we pay homage to the town’s ancient roots while offering a modern, sophisticated space for both locals and travelers.
Our kitchen bridges two worlds, serving a curated fusion of Italian and Spanish cuisines. From the comfort of hand-tossed pizzas and artisanal pastas to the elegance of premium steaks, every dish is a celebration of flavor. The Caffè Lilio experience is designed to be the perfect companion to a day spent exploring our historic streets.
