Doorbell Brews wasn’t intended to be a full-blown coffee shop. It was originally a take-away coffee for passersby. We readied a simple cardboard box sign hanged on the gate “kape 4 sale”; taking inspiration from the classic “ice 4 sale”.

We realized a little while later that neighbors must be struggling to grab a quick caffeine break due to the lack of nearby shops and rising prices through online delivery platforms.

We were far from ready when we started, but we had questions we knew only walking through our fears and living in our sacrifices would answer.

And here we are a few months later—we’ve become your daily delight, a quick wave when you walk by to grab ulam, a hello down the street of Purok 3, your support system for exams or studies, an extension of our home and yours.

If there’s anything we’re learning it’s braving with fear will take you farther than preparing ever will.
