Happy Birthday to our bunso, Karla! 🥳 The youngest in the cottage, but someone who has quietly become such a big part of our everyday life here. 🥹

The one who quietly does her part without needing much reminding, and most of the time, one little instruction from ate Bons is all it takes, and she already knows what to do. She just knows, and that kind of understanding and reliability is something we’re so grateful for. 💖

Thank you for being our extra pair of hands. From helping your ate Bons through those long hours of baking to lending a hand to your ate Ange and ate Kassy in the kitchen, and even taking care of the dishes. And for being our friendly face to every teata and teato who walks in. Always ready to lend a hand, assist with a warm smile, and bring your sweetness and humor into our everyday chaos. You do so much more than you probably realize. 💕

You have this simple way of making people smile, while also knowing when to be patient and understanding. Especially with those older than you, you have always shown a kind of respect and consideration that we truly appreciate. For our bunso, you have such a thoughtful heart. ☺️

You know what's strange about growing up, teatas and teatos? 🤔

It's not that life suddenly gets easier.
Adulting is loud—work, bills, responsibilities, people depending on you, and a never-ending list of things to figure out.

But in the chaos of it all, in the middle of an ordinary day, you suddenly notice something...

The problems are still there. The goals haven't all been reached. Life is still a little uncertain. Life isn't perfect... but somehow, we're okay. 🍃

You remember the things you once prayed so hard for that have quietly become part of your everyday life. A stable job. Having food on the table. People to come home to. Little moments that once felt so far away. ✨

It's funny how we spend so much time worrying about what's next that we forget to appreciate what we already have.

Keep chasing your dreams, teatas and teatos. ☺️

But don't forget to slow down every once in a while, so you can appreciate how far you've already come. 🤍

Some people change the mood of a room just by walking into it. That's our Royce aka Bogart. 💕

He's the one you'll find smiling when everyone else is running low, the happy pill of this house, the reason even the busiest shifts still end with laughter. Behind that easy smile is someone we trust completely. Give him a task, and it gets done. No complaints, no excuses, no reminders. Just quiet reliability. 👍

And whenever something is too heavy for the rest of us to lift, we already know who we're calling. 💪😂 You're our unofficial lifter of tables, boxes, supplies, pretty much anything that requires muscle.

But what we admire most isn't your strength. It's your heart. ☺️

You'll do anything for this little cottage if it means making people smile, even if it means putting on makeup, wearing a dress, and fully committing to our funniest parody reels without a second thought. 😂

That same heart is the one you bring home to your family. Loyal, devoted, and always ready to put the people you love before yourself.

Before "SLOW DOWN" was a caption, it was a risk.

There was a time people didn't understand what we meant by our slow bar concept — reviews calling us too slow, customers expecting the same rushed pace as everywhere else. It would have been easier to speed up, serve premade, cut the steeping time just to keep up.

𝘞𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯'𝘵.

When our little cottage trended, demand outgrew our system. So we temporarily closed — not to speed things up, but to resystemize, so we could serve everyone on top of that demand the way we'd always promised. Slow-cooked meals stayed slow-cooked. Fresh-brewed tea stayed fresh-brewed. 🍃

Now "slow down" is everyone's caption. We're happy about that. ☺️ We just hope people remember — it was never about the aesthetic of slow. It was always the meaning behind it. 🏡

No rush, no shortcuts — just you, our teatas and teatos, given the time you've always deserved. 💕

Thank you for being someone we can count on. For showing up every day, we notice the little things. The mornings after a busy night when there are still chores left unfinished—you quietly pick up where everyone else left off. Those acts may seem ordinary, but they make life lighter for the whole team. ☺️

You're the quiet one. The nonchalant one. The one who doesn't always wear a smile on your face, and that's okay. We know not everyone expresses themselves the same way. But we hope you know this cottage is also a place where you don't have to carry everything alone. We hope your work brings you purpose, your teammates become people you can lean on, and little by little, this place feels like home too. 🍃

Just a quick heads-up that our little cottage will be closed tomorrow as we'll be hosting a private event.

Who would've thought that the artists behind some of the songs we've been playing since our cart days at Puro would one day be here—and that we'd get to serve them our tisanes and food. ☺️
