PROVERBS 24:16
Good morning mga kaDUBS! Let me share with you a real life story.
Three years ago, it was an impossible fit for Jeff and I to have our own house. We live paycheck to paycheck, have car payments, credit card bills, usual day to day bills, kids' school related payables, and more. So, having to own a house or even the thought of it was a long shot. Jeff, during one of his quiet time with God, prayed. That prayer utters his heart's out-pour...
..you know those times when God answers prayers of those whose hearts and minds and souls are in sync with Him? Yeah, Jeff had that moment many times, but this time, it was extra special.
Fast forward, we gave birth to DUBS Burger. The recipe, the market, the strategy, the hurdles...everything was from God. And when something is from God, you just know that it can never be wrong. We finished our car payment a year ahead, credit card bills paid off, kids' expenses were manageable, and God gifted us with our home sweet home.
Through DUBS, not only that we get our financial help, but Jeff was able to reach out and evangelize, share the good news of Jesus. This was his passion...and God helped him, us.
Along the way, we encountered a lot of challenges. And when I say a lot, I mean A LOT! One prominent hurdle was envy. Envy in the hearts of those who have witnessed God's miracles and works in our family that they so wanted to pull us down. Was it a surprise? No. God was a hundred steps ahead. He always reminds us of Proverbs 24:16 -- "for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity." Through the years, Jeff and I, have held on to this promise. Never forgetting that no amount of weapon can put us down because God has assured us of his love and victory over the enemy.
Lesson - stay focused on what God's plans are for you. Be still and be courageous.
GOD BLESS US! ππΌππΌππΌ
for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.
