The Local Government Unit of Larena, through the Municipal Health Office, will be holding a Food Handlers’ Class as part of our Food and Sanitation Program. This activity aims to help reduce and prevent food-borne diseases in our municipality.

We are informing all food handlers, food establishment owners and staff, and boarding house owners to attend the seminar. Please be reminded that this training is required for the issuance of Business Permits and Health Cards.

The Local Government Unit of Larena, headed by Mayor Cyrus Vincent Calibo, in coordination with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), announces the suspension of classes in all levels, both public and private, starting at 3 PM today, Monday, November 24, 2025, until further notice.

This suspension is implemented due to the effects of Tropical Depression Verbena, ensuring the safety and welfare of all learners, teachers, and school personnel amid the current weather disturbance.

Everyone is advised to remain vigilant, monitor official advisories, and prioritize safety at all times.
