JEEPNEY FARES IN BAGUIO AND BENGUET REVERT TO REGULAR RATES STARTING TOMORROW

Starting tomorrow June 24, jeepney fares in Baguio City and Benguet will return to regular rates following a consultation among transport stakeholders and the LTFRB. The minimum fare is set at ₱13 for traditional PUJs, with a discounted fare of ₱11 for students, senior citizens, and PWDs. For modern PUJs, the minimum fare is ₱15, with a discounted fare of ₱12.25.

Stakeholders said another consultation will be held in case of significant fuel price changes that may affect the transport sector. The LTFRB reminded operators that fare increases cannot be imposed on passengers and warned that overcharging is prohibited, with commuters advised to file complaints through the agency’s website.
