As some of you may already know, Noona has temporarily closed its doors.

With everything happening around the world, our small business has been greatly affected. We stayed quiet for a while, but now we feel it’s time to share our decision — to lay low for a bit and take a step back to appreciate life.

In the past year of running Noona, we realized we slowly forgot what matters most. Our home felt empty, our kitchen — something we both loved — hasn’t been the same. We missed preparing meals for our kids, and more importantly, we missed being fully present for them.

Our marriage was also challenged. What started as a fun and exciting partnership became difficult as time went on. Running a business with two leaders isn’t always easy, and it led to disagreements we never expected.

So for now, we’ve chosen to pause, reflect, and learn.

Recently, we visited one of the biggest Korean Mart stores in Cebu City. We were inspired by a kind Korean owner who generously shared insights, knowledge, and even helped us explore potential long-term suppliers. This experience reminded us why we started in the first place — and gave us hope for what’s next.

This isn’t goodbye — it’s just a pause.

Stay tuned for our comeback… and yes, it will be a BIG one. ❤️

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love and support throughout this past year. We truly appreciate each and every one of you.

Noona will rise again — bigger, better, and stronger.
