In celebration of the 43rd Pasalamat Festival, please be advised of the temporary road closure along Rizal Street (from Lumay Café to Barkadahan Building).

🗓️ When: April 26, 2026, to May 04, 2026
📍 Where: Rizal Street (Lumay Café to Barkadahan Building)
🎡 Reason: Festival Street Market setup and public safety measures.

⚠️ TO ALL MOTORISTS & MANGKASANONS:
Since this route is frequently used by heavy-loaded cane trucks traveling to URC (Barangay RSB), this closure is strictly implemented to ensure the safety of festival-goers and pedestrians.

Please plan your routes accordingly and expect heavy traffic in nearby areas. Let’s keep the festivities safe and orderly!

URGENT CLASS SUSPENSION ADVISORY
Feb. 19, 2026 | 6:30 p.m.

Mayor Jose Luis Jalandoni has ordered the IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION of both public and private classes at all levels, including higher education institutions, effective immediately and until further notice.

While primary and secondary schools have already dismissed for the day, this directive serves as an emergency order for the college and all evening programs to cease classes immediately.

This also confirms the suspension of all classes in all levels—for tomorrow, Feb. 20, 2026.

This measure is a direct response to the explosive eruption of Mt. Kanlaon and the resulting ashfall and sulfuric odors currently affecting several barangays. The health and safety of students, faculty, and school personnel is our absolute priority.

An Executive Order (EO) will follow.
