UPDATE ON THE ROAD ACCIDENT INVOLVING OUR DELIVERY RIDER
Salamat po at maayos na ang kalagayan ng dalawang bata at nakalabas na sila ng ospital kagabi. Bilang malasakit sa mga batang nadamay sa insidente, sinagot po ng Deliverya ang kanilang gamot.
Nagpapasalamat din po kami na ligtas ang aming rider. Siya ay kasalukuyang nagpapahinga at inaasikasong muli ang kanyang motorsiklo at mga gamit na naapektuhan sa aksidente.
Bilang suporta, tinulungan po namin ang aming rider sa pagpapaayos ng kanyang cellphone na nasira sa insidente, at nagbigay din kami ng allowance upang makatulong sa pagpapaayos ng kanyang motorsiklo. Para sa kanya, ang motorsiklo ay hindi lamang sasakyan — ito ang kanyang kabuhayan.
Ayon sa impormasyong nakuha namin, ang kabilang partido ay nakainom, walang lisensya, hindi rehistrado ang sasakyan, at may kasamang dalawang bata na walang suot na safety helmet. Bigla rin umano itong lumiko, na naging sanhi ng pagsalpok sa aming rider. Mayroon din pong mga testigong makapagpapatunay sa pangyayari.
Nais din po naming linawin na hindi katanggap-tanggap ang anumang uri ng pananakot, lalo na ang pagbanta sa buhay ng isang manggagawang ginagawa lamang ang kanyang trabaho. Naiintindihan po namin na mataas ang emosyon kapag may aksidente, ngunit sana po ay pairalin pa rin ang kalma, respeto, at tamang proseso.
Sa pamilya ng mga batang nadamay, taos-puso po kaming nagpapasalamat na ligtas sila. Wala pong may gusto na magkaroon ng ganitong insidente. Ang mahalaga ngayon ay kaligtasan, katotohanan, at pananagutan.
Ang Deliverya ay hindi lamang isang food delivery app. Kami ay isang kumpanyang binuo upang tumulong sa pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan ng tao — maging ikaw man ay customer, restaurant partner, o bahagi ng aming team. In everything we do, we put people first.
Ang aming mga riders ay hindi lamang delivery riders. Sila ay mga tatay, kapatid, anak, at masisipag na manggagawang naglilingkod sa komunidad araw-araw. May pamilya rin silang naghihintay sa kanilang ligtas na pag-uwi.
Kaya magalang po naming hinihiling sa publiko: maging responsable po tayo sa paggamit ng kalsada.
Huwag magmaneho nang nakainom.
Huwag magmaneho nang walang lisensya.
Huwag gumamit ng hindi rehistrado o hindi ligtas na sasakyan.
Huwag magsakay ng mga bata nang walang tamang proteksyon.
Huwag padala sa galit o emosyon sa oras ng aksidente.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

We are aware of the circulating post/complaint regarding an accident involving one of our Deliverya riders.

First, we would like to express our concern for everyone involved, especially the children who were reportedly present during the incident. Any road accident is a serious matter, and we do not take this lightly.

Based on the initial information relayed to us, there are claims that the other party involved was allegedly operating an unregistered vehicle, driving without a license, carrying children, not wearing helmets, and may have been under the influence of alcohol.

We were also informed that our rider was allegedly threatened after the incident. If true, this is deeply concerning. Our riders are working people who are simply trying to earn a living, serve customers, and support their families.

Deliverya stands with our riders — especially those who are responsible, follow traffic rules, and perform their duties properly. They deserve fairness, respect, and protection from public judgment, intimidation, or one-sided accusations.

However, Deliverya will not make final conclusions based only on social media posts or unverified statements. We believe this matter should be handled properly by the concerned authorities.

We are now coordinating with our rider, the involved parties, and the proper authorities to understand the full and accurate details of the incident.

We respectfully ask the public to avoid spreading incomplete or one-sided information while the matter is still under clarification. Everyone deserves fairness, due process, and the opportunity to present the facts.

Deliverya does not tolerate reckless behavior on the road. At the same time, we will always stand for the protection of our riders when they are being judged publicly before all facts are known.

Road safety is everyone’s responsibility — especially when children are involved.
