September is Tourism Month!
Theme: “Tourism and Peace - 30 Years of Connecting People, Places, and Cultures"
This annual celebration is a key event that emphasizes the vital role tourism plays in enhancing the global economy, environment, and culture. This year, Board Member Conkee Buctuan invites all aspiring photographers to participate in a unique photo contest that showcases the beauty and diversity of their hometowns through photography. By capturing and sharing the unique aspects of your community, you can inspire others to travel responsibly, support local economies, and promote sustainable tourism practices.

Entry Guidelines:
- Photos must reflect the essence of this year's theme.
- Entries must be captured using a mobile device (smartphones or tablets).
- Photos should be in full color, with allowed color corrections.
- Entries must be in landscape orientation.
- Each photo must be taken and submitted by the participant.
- A caption is required to tell the story behind the photo (minimum of one paragraph).
- Captions must include the location and an accurate description of the photo.
Eligibility and Contest Details:
- Open to individuals aged 18 and above.
- Participants must reside in municipalities within the 3rd District of Zamboanga del Norte, Mindanao, Philippines.
- All submissions are subject to screening before the final contest.
- Only one entry per municipality will be chosen.
- A total of 12 entries will advance to the online voting stage.
- Three winners will be selected, with additional consolation prizes for the remaining participants.
Contest Timeline:
- Submission Deadline: September 15, 2024, at 12:00 midnight.
- Final Contest Posting: September 16, 2024.
- Online Voting: September 16, 2024 - October 6, 2024 (until 12:00 midnight).
- Winner Announcement: October 7, 2024.
Prizes:
- First Prize: Cash prize of PHP 3,000.
- Second Prize: Cash prize of PHP 2,000.
- Third Prize: Cash prize of PHP 1,000.
- Consolation Prize: Cash prize of PHP 500.

Disqualified Photographs:
- Photos that are digitally enhanced or altered beyond minor adjustments (sharpening, contrast, slight color adjustment).
- Photos previously submitted or awarded in other contests or published elsewhere.
- Photos that infringe on any person’s rights, including copyright.
- Photos that are considered immoral, obscene, or against public morals and policy.
