We are honored to share that Mayor Mai Okinlay recently visited Green Thumb Integrated Farm to attend an important activity.

At the end of the event, we proudly showcased our locally made products—our signature mulberry wine and mulberry yema—which she truly loved and appreciated. 🍷💜

Her support means so much to us, and we are especially grateful for her suggestion to feature our products at the Kaamulan Festival booth of Impasugong. This opportunity inspires us even more to continue promoting local innovation and proudly represent our community.

Those tiny black berries aren’t random weeds.
They’re from kamatis-damo (Solanum nigrum)
Young leaves are cooked as vegetables, and the fully ripe berries have long been part of traditional knowledge.
and yes- even our chickens know which ones are ripe.

🥜 Did you know? Peanuts aren’t actually nuts!

Botanically speaking, peanuts are legumes, the same family as beans, peas, and lentils.
They grow in pods underground, splitting open when they’re ready—unlike true nuts like almonds or hazelnuts.

That’s why harvesting peanuts is extra special: every pod is gently pulled from the soil, one by one, like in this photo of my mom carefully filling a sack with freshly picked peanuts.

Introducing Muros Nigra, the wine na may kwento! 🍷✨

Naisip mo ba kung bakit Muros Nigra? 🤔

Muros Nigra is the scientific name of mulberry.
*Muros Nigra* - ang pangalan na nagmula sa salitang Latin para sa "mulberry" (Murus) at "itim" (Nigra).

So why give our wine a Latin name?

Because Muros Nigra is more than a fruit.
It represents depth, patience, and transformation.

Ang Muros Nigra wine ay hindi lang basta inumin; ito'y isang karanasan. Binuo mula sa mga piling mulberry na maingat na pina-ferment, ang lasa nito ay parang isang paglalakbay sa mga taniman ng ating mga ninuno - matamis, maasim, at puno ng kwento.

Kaya, tara, tikman ang Muros Nigra. Baka ito na ang bagong kwento mo 🍷😊.
