When people who work in tourism come through Agatona’s doors 🌟

We were happy to welcome the DOT Central Office staff from the Office of DOT Secretary Dita Mathay, together with DOT VI Regional Director Crisanta Marlene Rodriguez and her team.

A special thank you to Leny Ledesma, Executive Assistant to the Mayor of Iloilo City, for bringing our guests to Agatona 1927.

It was a pleasure having them here and sharing a little of what makes this old family home part of Jaro’s heritage.

Our grandfather collected more than memories 🪙

He collected coins, stamps, and all sorts of things that caught his interest along the way.

Some were valuable. Some were simply interesting. And some probably had a story behind them that only he knew.

Today, these little pieces of his collection remain here at Agatona 1927.

Looking at them, I sometimes wonder what made him stop and say, “I want to keep this.”

That’s one of the things I love about an old family home.

You don’t just inherit the big things.

Sometimes, you inherit the little things someone was curious enough to keep.
