"The true measure of a community is not how it treats the strongest, but how it cares for those who need support."
That is why I proudly support the proposed Iligan City Right to Care Ordinance. In times of illness, emergencies, and personal struggles, having someone you trust by your side can make all the difference. This ordinance recognizes the importance of care, compassion, and human connection by allowing individuals to designate the people they rely on most to help them make important decisions and provide support when needed.
For Iligan City, this is more than just a policy; it is a step toward building a community where everyone feels seen, valued, and protected. It promotes inclusivity and ensures that no one has to face difficult situations alone simply because their support system may not fit traditional definitions.
I invite my fellow Iliganons to support this meaningful initiative. By standing behind the Right to Care Ordinance, we are choosing kindness over exclusion, understanding over judgment, and unity over division. Together, we can create an Iligan where every person has the right to care and be cared for, fostering stronger families, deeper connections, and a more compassionate community for all."
