Alhamdulillah. What a journey these two days have been.

From planning, preparing, testing recipes, packing every order, to finally seeing everything sell out — it still feels unreal. Every Garlic Aioli dipped, every Yogurt-Honey Labneh enjoyed, every Fava Bean box served, every Fattoush prepared, every Saudi Champagne poured… all gone.

And it’s all because of you.

From the Humble Street Stalls of Saudi to Yours
(How “Al Fava Dipza” Came to Be)

Foul Tamees is a beloved staple across Arabian cities like Makkah, Medinah, and Jeddah. Its roots trace back to ancient Egypt’s ful medames and Central Asia’s tamees bread. Through pilgrims and trade, it became a signature breakfast dish in Saudi Arabia, once feeding laborers and the working class. Back then, a serving rarely cost more than a single riyal, earning it the humble nickname “poor man’s pizza.” Loved by locals and OFWs, it was cheap, neat, and a simple meal that felt just right.

For one of our team members, a true “Jeddah kid,” foul tamees was more than food. Weekends at the corniche with foul tamees in hand created small but unforgettable memories by the seaside. Even though it was humble, these moments were priceless, memories that even luxury cannot replace.

With Al Fava Dipza, we’ve reimagined this classic into Middle-Eastern-style nacho snacks. Crispy pita chips take the place of tamees bread, carrying creamy fava bean dips and other local favorites. Dip it, crunch it, and savour each bite. This is more than a snack; it’s a taste of Saudi delight, a bite of Arabian culture, and a story passed down through flavors.
