Kitya's Place Cafe, Bar and Restaurant We love the ocean. It is our playground. We found quality life in Siargao Island and we want to help protect it in any way we can.

Our house of recycled bottles is an experimental project that aims to have a positive impact on the surrounding environment by promoting awareness in up-cycling and sustainable lifestyle. Plastic waste and its impact on the marine ecosystem is one of the world's emerging environmental issues for which there are limited solutions. We started banning PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottles, using m

etal straws; reusable bag or container to avoid unnecessary packaging. It seems impossible for a restaurant business to have a life without plastic but hopefully these baby steps can contribute to reduction of plastic waste. Our menu is a playful mix of different flavors and influences. Our aromatic, hearty and seasoned meals are made from scratch making sure our meals are worth the second taste. SPECIAL NIGHTS:

BOODLE FEAST WEDNESDAYS

The BOODLE FEAST is a Filipino eating tradition where everyone would gather around a table full of palate pleasing dishes being spread over the aromatic banana leaves. The rule is simple - one must eat with bare hands at their own pace and sequence. Every Wednesday, we will have different set of menu to highlight the Filipino culinary flair. A FUN and UNIQUE dining experience for adventurous souls! RAMEN SATURDAYS- Another special night featuring Chef Freeman’s Ramen choices.

“Eat the noodles while they’re hot, before they get soggy,” “Your bowl should be empty within minutes.” Also, you must slurp. Oishi desu.! HAPPY SUNDAYS- Our biggest night of the week featuring local musicians and guest jammers from around the world. After our jam session we feature local DJs to continue the fun night. Our cozy, good vibes, great great music, and local feel is what makes this a happy Sunday!

My Story

While in the city where everything is a rush, my mission is for you to embrace a slow-paced island surf culture, to let go of the rush and be present. Inspired by the tropical and local vibe, I hope you get to enjoy the view of the outdoors, flames, steam and clatter in my open-air kitchen and see the real thing because our point of connection lies in imperfection -it's what makes it authentic.

As I go to the direction where my Asian roots lie, I would say there is nothing that quite satisfies me the way Asian cuisine does and always will mentally bring me home.

We are taking our dishes to a new place that appeal to my love of creativity and our customer’s familiarity. Along with the desire for comfort, my menu is taking tried – and- true dishes while introducing my signature elements. My Asian fusion recipes are associated with pleasant memories and emotional connection.
