The concept of mobile food trucks may be popular today, but back in the 1980s, it was a relatively unknown idea in many regions. While food trucks were already a common sight in Western countries, the Philippines was only beginning to embrace the trend.
Burger Machine, founded in 1981, was initially envisioned as a mobile food standโwhat we now call a โfood truck.โ However, the concept of mobile food service was not widely recognized at the time. Instead, Burger Machine found its footing as a stationary yet convenient food option, adapting to the local marketโs preferences.
By the late โ80s and through the โ90s, Burger Machine became a fast-food phenomenon. Known for its affordable yet flavorful offerings, it captured the hearts of Filipinos with its iconic P5 mini burgers and P20 jumbo burgers. Its reputation for reliability and accessibility solidified its place as a staple of local fast food culture.
Today, Burger Machine remains a beloved name, a testament to its ability to adapt while staying true to its roots.
