MAN ARRESTED FOR QUALIFIED THEFT

STA. CRUZ, Davao del Sur – At about 2:03 AM of May 3, 2023 a certain Rudy Son Galve Ito, male, 35 years old, married, security Guard of Tagum Agriculture Development Company Incorporated ( TADECO) appeared to this office and requested for Police assistance that allegedly a certain Benjie, 40 years old, driver, married, and a resident of Purok-13, Feeder Road, Tibal-og, Sto Tomas, Davao del Norte driver of Prime mover 40 footer with plate No. KAN 3926, owned by the Panabo Trucking Services Inc. was caught in the act stealing petroleum products (diesel fuel) at about 1:45 AM in Purok Camia, Barangay Coronon, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur.

Immediately, Sta. Cruz MPS personnel under the direct supervision of PLTCOL KRISTOPHER A SABSAL- COP immediately proceeded to the reported place to verify the veracity of said report.

Initial investigation conducted revealed that at about 1:45 AM of May 3, 2023, Rudy Son Galve Ito together with his companion Security Guard conducted area monitoring to the driver of TADECO, when they arrived at Purok Camia Barangay Coronon, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur they noticed a one unit of Prime mover 40 footer with plate No. KAN 3926, owned by the Panabo Trucking Services Inc. was temporarily parked beside the National Highway, when they looked, they saw Benjie (suspect) stealing petroleum products (diesel fuel) from the tank of the Prime mover.

Recovered from the possession and control of the arrested are the following to wit; a six (6) plastic container containing more or less 150 liters diesel fuel from the tank of the Prime mover 40-footer truck amounting to P6,000.00; and b. One (1) piece Improvised suction hose.

The aforesaid pieces of evidence and the apprehended suspects is now held at this office for proper disposition.

A message from our chairman: Feb 11, 2023

Nothing lasts forever. Our Penong's store in Digos will cease operations after Feb. 28, 2023.

The pandemic hit us hard and we were not able to recuperate. But it is with pride that we were able to operate from 2020 up to the present without earning a single centavo of profit as incorporators. Proud because majority of our staff did not lose their jobs unlike millions in the country (and the whole world). God has plans for all of us. WE GOTTA HAVE FAITH.

Comedian Roderick Paulate has been found guilty by the Sandiganbayan on one count of graft and nine counts of falsification of public documents in connection with the hiring of ghost employees in 2010 during his first stint as a Quezon City councilor.
