Stepped out of my comfort zone for this one.
A non-dairy whipped cream cake, dressed with 2D fondant details and a few 3D toppers. I usually stay away from fondant, but for a very special client, and a concept Iโ€™ve been wanting to try. Plus some customized sugar cookies on the side. The last time I made sugar cookies was during the pandemic, so my hands are definitely rustyโ€ฆ

When the organizer mentioned The Phantom of the Opera, I was thrilled! this was the very first novel I ever finished back in Grade 7.
I wonโ€™t lie, I wasnโ€™t fully confident with the design I drafted since it had been a while since I last did hand-piped flowers, and I felt a bit rusty.
Still, I leaned into the Phantomโ€™s world instead of the mask. The opera house, pillars, candle holders, and red roses. To honor Sofia stepping into womanhood, soft n**e pink tones were used. Feminine, gentle, yet strong.
