When a nation sins, judgment is inevitable. But even in the midst of judgment, God’s mercy still whispers, “Return to Me.”
He said in His Word — “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.” — 2 Chronicles 7:14
This is not the time to look away. This is not the time to sleep.
This is the time to bow low before the God who holds the nations in His hands.
The earth beneath us is trembling. The Pacific Ring of Fire shakes again and again. And even our beloved Philippines groans under the weight of the earth’s movement. Magnitude 6+...7+... people awaken in the night with fear, wondering if the big one is coming.
But perhaps this shaking is more than just a geological event.
Perhaps Heaven is calling, “My people, are you awake yet?”
The shaking of the earth reflects the shaking of hearts. God is shaking everything that can be shaken, not to destroy, but to awaken. He is breaking what must be broken so that only what is eternal may remain.
And yet, in the midst of fear, there is hope. Because the same hands that allow the earth to quake are the same hands that hold us close. Our God is stronger than any storm, greater than any disaster, and more powerful than any force of nature.
But we must be found under His covering. We must return to the shelter of His wings. And the way back is not through religion or empty words, it is through repentance.
Sin separates us from the protection of His hand. Unforgiveness, pride, immorality, corruption, these open doors the enemy loves to enter through. But repentance closes them. Repentance is not just saying sorry, it’s a turning. A breaking. A surrendering. It’s falling to our knees and crying out, “God, we have sinned against You. Have mercy on us.”
Now is the time to REPENT —and intercede, not just for ourselves, but for our families, our leaders, and our nation. Now is the time for the church to rise, not in pride, but in tears. We must cry out for mercy before the throne of grace while it is still called today.
Every earthquake is a reminder: nothing on earth is stable except Christ. Every shaking reminds us: we need to be right with God, now, not later. Every trembling ground is a call to awaken sleeping hearts.
The question is: Will we listen? Will we repent?
May we be a people who do not wait for disaster before we kneel,
but who choose repentance before judgment comes.
May our prayers rise like incense before the Lord, and may His mercy cover our land once more. Because when the ground shakes and the world falls apart, those who stand in the secret place of the Most High will remain unshaken ❤️🔥
